2026: Signed with the REDBLACKS on Feb. 11… Named the starting QB during training camp… Started all eight regular season games… Completed 27 of 38 passes for 338 yards and three touchdowns with one interception on June 28 at Montreal… Completed 30 of 40 passes for 344 yards with one touchdown and an interception July 19 vs. Winnipeg… Completed 34 of 41 passes for 311 yards and an interception July 31 vs. Montreal… Completed 31 of 43 passes for 339 yards with two touchdowns and an interception Aug. 7 at Saskatchewan.

2025: Signed with Roughriders, Jan. 9 … won first start as a Roughrider, June 28 vs. B.C. (completed 13 of 23 passes for 170 yards and one touchdown) … 47-yard touchdown pass to Dohnte Meyers, Sept. 13 vs. Montreal … second start as a Roughrider, Oct. 17 at Winnipeg (15-for-20 for 123 yards; 12 consecutive completions at one point).

2024: Maier dressed for all 18 games with Calgary and started 15, completing 357 of 494 passes (a 72.3-per-cent success rate) for 3,841 yards. He threw 22 touchdown passes (third in the league) and 14 interceptions. He had a QB rating of 97.7 and four 300-yard games.

2023: Maier started all 18 regular-season games for the Stampeders and became the 10th player in franchise history to throw for 4,000 yards in a single season, finishing with 4,244 yards. He connected on 363 of 578 passes for a 62.8-per-cent completion rate with 15 touchdowns with 10 interceptions.

2022: Maier played all 18 regular-season games with the Stampeders, posting a 6-3 record as a starter. For the season, he completed 207 of 277 passes (74.7 per cent) for 2,389 yards, with 14 touchdowns and seven interceptions.

2021: Maier dressed for 11 games and made three starts for Calgary. He completed 95 of 148 passes (64.2 per cent) for 1,211 yards, with five touchdowns and three interceptions. He was the first player in CFL history to passing for 300-plus yards in each of his first three starts.

2020: Maier was under contract to the Stampeders but the season was cancelled because of the global pandemic.

COLLEGE/PERSONAL

College: Maier played in 36 games over three seasons (2017-19) at the University of California, Davis. He completed 992 of 1,495 attempts for 11,163 yards, with 88 touchdowns with 33 interceptions. Maier was the Big Sky Conference’s newcomer of the year in 2017, and in 2018 he was the conference’s offensive player of the year and first-team quarterback. He played at Long Beach City College in 2016 and was first-team all-state after throwing for a league-leading 38 touchdowns and setting school records in TD passes and yards (3,689). Personal: Maier is a graduate of St. Paul High School in Santa Fe Springs, Calif., where he was a standout football and baseball player. He was a two-time captain in football and was the school’s athlete of the year as a senior.
