The completion of the south side stands superstructure was commemorated in fine fashion yesterday afternoon at Lansdowne Park. The event was attended by OSEG partners Roger Greenberg, John Ruddy, John Pugh, Jeff Hunt, and Bill Shenkman; Ottawa Mayor Jim Watson, CFL Commisioner Mark Cohon, Sr. Vice President Francis Pomerleau, Pomerleau workers, and members of the media.
There were speeches, a ceremony where a commemorative plaque was trowelled into the stands, a tour of the main concourse, the club level and the locker room, and a reception where Golden Palace egg rolls were served.
