Montreal – Future rivals meet for the first time tonight, as the Montreal Alouettes host the Ottawa REDBLACKS at Percival-Molson Stadium in one final pre-season game.
Ottawa chooses to receive and Jamill Smith returns 33 yards on the opening punt.
Henry Burris 28 yards to #80 Dobson Collins and then 34 yards to #85 Matt Carter to set up Chevon Walker’s first touchdown of the game.
Chevon Walker runs in a touchdown at 12:16 of the first quarter on a 3 plays totaling 65 yards making the score 7-1.
Montreal Alouettes Delbert Alvarado kicks a 33 yard field goal on a 4 play drive at 14:27 making it 7-4 Ottawa.
The Ottawa REDBLACKS open up the second quarter with a 5 play possession on 60 yards, highlighted by a 33 yard reception to Kierrie Johnson and finishing up with Chevon Walker’s 1 yard touchdown at 44 seconds.
A missed 40 yard field goal attempt by Brett Maher results in a single making the score 15-4 at 7:27 in the 2 second quarter.
That wasn’t it for the REDBLACKS running back. An 8 play drive for 85 yards got the REDBLACKS to 5 yard line where Walker is most effective. Burris throws a short 5 yard pass allowing Chevon walker score his third touchdown of the game.
The score at halftime is 22-7 for Ottawa.
