The REDBLACKS came out strong early in the first quarter.  After Henry Burris made a 26-yard pass to wide receiver Kerrie Johnson, running back Walker got the franchise’s first ever regular-season touchdown with a three-yard run into the end-zone.

The REDBLACKS were up 7-0 less than five minutes into their CFL regular-season debut.

Veteran quarterback Burris found wide receiver Dobson Collins, just under seven minutes in, for 26-yards and another REDBLACKS touchdown.

With less than five minutes remaining in the first quarter Nic Grigsby rushed for three-yards to put the Blue Bombers on the board, trailing 14-7.

Without a moment to spare, Walker collected his second touchdown of the night putting the REDBLACKS ahead 21-7 at the start of the second quarter.

The Blue Bombers gained control of the REDBLACKS offence and held them at the 60-yard line for the first half of the second quarter.

Just over nine minutes into the second quarter, Grigsby collected his second touchdown of the game as the Blue Bombers went for a 98 yard touchdown drive putting them behind by seven.

Blue Bombers’ kicker Lirim Hajrullahu made a 47-yard field goal to bring the Bombers within only four in the final seconds of the half.
