REDBLACKS Host Coaching Invitational on Mini-Camp Day 3

On Wednesday morning, the REDBLACKS capped off their 2015 mini-camp by hosting a group of Ottawa football VIPs. Coaches from the National Capital Amateur Football Association (NCAFA) were invited to come down to TD Place  and take part in the REDBLACKS Coaching Invitational. They observed the majority of the positional practices from the comfort of the south side stands. Nearing the end of the camp they were escorted onto the field for an exclusive experience.

NCAFA coaches took in a full scrimmage from the sidelines, only inches away from all the action. They then joined REDBLACKS Head Coach Rick Campbell as he addressed his team after mini-camp had finished. Coach Campbell emphasized the importance of the NCAFA coaches in the Ottawa community and extended his appreciation by having the entire team applaud these unheralded individuals.

NCAFA coaches then proceeded to join the REDBLACKS coaching staff at a luncheon social. Coaches from both organizations enjoyed the interaction, and exchanged ideas and strategies for the upcoming football season. A unique experience for many of the NCAFA coaches, they were extremely impressed with the access to REDBLACKS personnel and facilities.
