The REDBLACKS have signed all six players the team selected during the 2015 CFL Draft earlier this month.
The list includes 6-foot-4, 309-pound offensive lineman and Ottawa native Alex Mateas, the top overall pick out of the University of Connecticut.
The others: Round Two (ninth overall) – Wide receiver Jake Harty (6-2, 210, Calgary); Round Four (28th overall) – Linebacker Tanner Doll (6-0, 221, Calgary); Round Five (37th overall) – Fullback Jefferson Court (6-3, 238, Utah State); Round Six (46th overall) – Running back Kienan Lafrance (5-10, 210, Manitoba); Round Seven (54th overall) – Offensive lineman Alexandre Laganière (6-4, 305, Montréal)
The six players are expected to attend REDBLACKS training camp, which begins for rookies on Wednesday, May 27 at Keith Harris Stadium on the campus of Carleton University.
The first camp practice for the entire team is on Sunday, May 31 at Keith Harris Stadium. Practice begins at 8:30 a.m., ending at 11:55 a.m.
Camp is open to the public and admission is free. A paid parking lot is located next to the stadium.
The REDBLACKS also announced the signing of free-agent national fullback Louis Mensah (6-0, 230, Fort Lewis College), and free-agent national offensive lineman Timothy Mitchell (6-5, 290, McGill)
