Even the some “Americans” joined in the well wishing, QB Henry Burris and head coach Rick Campbell showed their support for the Canadian ladies. Natives of United States, both men have lived in Canada for many years now. Burris’ quest to become an “official” Canadian is still in the works, though Campbell became a naturalized citizen in 2011.

All the Women’s World Cup action gets started at Lansdowne Stadium (TD Place) tomorrow at 1 p.m. as Germany takes on Ivory Coast, later in the day Norway matches up against Thailand at 4 p.m.
Team Canada meets China PR at 6 p.m. EST tonight in Edmonton. If you’re not pumped up to watch the match already, this video should do the trick.
