On a Saturday night full of oddities, including a high of 10°C in August, Thomas DeMarco punting and passing, and a pair of defensive backs returning kicks, the REDBLACKS suffered a rare lopsided loss in Calgary.
Though the REDBLACKS roster was only marginally different from their victory against the Stamps at TD Place on July 24, the on-field results could not be more contrasting. They clearly missed #RNation and their intense home field energy, as the team never seemed to find their groove on any side of the ball.
The Stampeders took full advantage of being at home, as they once again asserted their home dominance, collecting their fifth victory at McMahon Stadium, as they defeated the REDBLACKS 48-3.
Standout receiver Greg Ellingson made an unbelievable one-handed catch for 33 yards in the second quarter that moved the REDBLACKS into field goal range.
