Though you may associate TD Place with three of Ottawa’s sports teams, Ottawa 67’s, Ottawa Fury FC and Ottawa REDBLACKS, it is also quickly becoming the place to be for the city’s most exciting events, sports or otherwise.
On Saturday, October 3, TD Place was home to the Panda Game for the second consecutive year. The Panda Game is an annual CIS football extravaganza featuring the University of Ottawa Gee-Gees and the Carleton University Ravens. Last year’s game saw the Ravens stun the Gee-Gees on the last play to win and Saturday’s matchup featured much of the same dramatics.

After two amazing halves, the two teams were tied 38-38. It took not one, but overtimes to settle the score, as both offences scored touchdowns in the first. uOttawa marched down field, but could not convert their three plays into points. The Ravens then had their opportunity to win the game.

On a 17-yard field goal by Carleton kicker Michael Domagala, the Ravens beat the Gee-Gees 48-45 on the final play of the game, again.
