Top 3 Storylines | Saskatchewan at Ottawa

First in East, last in West
On paper, Friday’s game should unquestionably be a win for Ottawa. But the REDBLACKS know as well as anyone that, despite sitting in top spot in the East and facing the basement-dwelling Roughriders, nothing comes easy in the CFL. You only have to look back to Ottawa’s visit to Saskatchewan earlier this year, a 30-29 loss, as proof of that – Ottawa’s first loss of the season. Another fan element will be added for Friday’s game as TSN’s special Live Mic broadcast will feature sounds from head coach Rick Campbell and quarterbacks Henry Burris and Trevor Harris.

O-Power
While Ottawa’s defence struggled against a tough BC attack in Vancouver last weekend, the REDBLACKS offence, led by quarterback Trevor Harris, put on a quite a show in the losing cause. Though Ottawa would drop the decision to the Lions, Harris completed 32 of 45 passes for 485 yards and two touchdowns, while both Chris Williams and Ernest Jackson caught for 100-plus yards each, with 155 and 122 yards, respectively.

1,000-yard club
While Chris Williams was the first REDBLACKS receiver to hit the 1,000-yard mark this season, the three others who also hit the milestone last season are each a big game or two away from hitting it again. Williams leads the way with 1,206 yards, while Greg Ellingson could hit that mark as early as Friday as he currently sits on 948 yards. Ernest Jackson and Brad Sinopoli, at 872 and 846 yards, respectively, are also closing the gap.
