The Ottawa REDBLACKS have signed international free agent defensive back Loucheiz Purifoy to a one-year contract, the club announced Tuesday.
Purifoy, 25, comes to Ottawa after two seasons with the BC Lions. Last year, he recorded 49 defensive tackles and three interceptions while playing in all 18 games.
“Loucheiz is a skilled player that makes impact plays on the field,” said REDBLACKS Head Coach Rick Campbell. “We’re excited that he’s joining the REDBLACKS.”
