Tuesday marks the kick-off to the first-ever Lansdowne Blitz, a unique opportunity for RNation to meet and eat with their favourite REDBLACKS players just as they are gearing up for their opening game of the 2018 CFL regular season.
It all starts with the most important meal of the day, with quarterback Trevor Harris and receiver Greg Ellingson sitting down for breakfast with fans at Sunset Grill on Tuesday morning (7 a.m. – 9 a.m.). On the menu: eggs, bacon and autographs with a side of selfies.
REDBLACKS players will be making appearances all over Lansdowne at various locations throughout the week, dining and chatting while welcoming RNation back for the 2018 season.
“We wanted to take advantage of the bye in Week 1 so we’re kicking things off by bringing RNation and our players together in a relaxed and fun setting at Lansdowne,” said Mark Sluban, OSEG’s Manager of Community Events.
In addition to Monday’s kickoff breakfast, players including Mossis Madu, Diontae Spencer, William Powell and SirVincent Rogers will make drop by Lansdowne eateries like Crust & Crate, Local, Industria, Jack Astor’s, Craft and South Street Burgers. Big Joe and the REDBLACKS cheer team will also making the rounds.
Prizes up for grabs each during the Lansdowne Blitz include tickets to our home opener against Saskatchewan on June 21. Fans who attend every player appearance can win home opener tickets and a gift card prize pack to restaurants at Lansdowne by sharing a selfie on Twitter with the #LansdowneBlitz.
