It’ll be a season opener rematch on Thursday, July 25th when the Ottawa REDBLACKS host the Calgary Stampeders inside The Stadium at TD Place at 7:00pm. Thursday will also be the annual Canadian Armed Forces Appreciation Night and here’s why you need to be here.
1. Pregame Flyover
Keep your eyes on the sky! Prior to kickoff there will be a flyover from a CH146 Griffon piloted by 427 Special Operations Aviation Squadron out of Petawawa, Ontario.
2. WOW Item of the Game
The WOW Item of the Game for Week 7 is One Pound Sausage Burger, topped with Honey mustard mayo, fried onions and sauerkraut! With the WOW Items selling so fast, we’ve doubled the quantity!
The quantity is still limited but more than games past. Available at Smoking Pig South Main concourse and Glebe Grill North Upper concourse.
3. REDBLACKS and Stampeders Rivalry
It’s no secret that the Ottawa REDBLACKS and Calgary Stampeders do not like each other. These two rivals have met in the Grey Cup twice in the last three years with each side claiming the championship once. Most recently the REDBLACKS went in to Calgary and stunned the Stamps by beating them in their home opener. Ottawa will look to sweep the season series on Thursday.
