The Ottawa REDBLACKS have added national defensive lineman Alain Cimankinda to the club’s practice roster, the team announced Wednesday.
The Congo-born Gatineau resident was drafted in the fourth round of the 2021 CFL Draft by the Saskatchewan Roughriders and spent the 2021 season with the team. Released prior to this season, the Riders re-signed Cimankinda in time to play in their Week 7 matchup against Toronto.

Le résident de Gatineau né au Congo a été repêché en quatrième ronde du repêchage de la LCF de 2021 par les Roughriders de la Saskatchewan et a passé la saison 2021 avec l’équipe. Libéré avant cette saison, les Riders ont resigné Cimankinda à temps pour jouer dans leur match de la semaine 7 contre Toronto.
